CREAM RECIPE
12 oz Distilled water
1/2 oz E-Wax
1 1/4 oz Stearic Acid
1/4 tsp Glycerin ( optional )
2 3/4 oz Oil, mix as you choose
Approx. 16 oz
Heat Liquids and Oils in seperate pots. Add E-wax, Steric Acid to the
Oils. When reach about 110 to 120, try not to go above 120 ,it starts
to destroy the good parts of the oils. Take from heat, pour liquid into your bowl. You can hand stir and then put in a cool
water bath ( fill a sink up with water and set the bowl in it, the cool water will cool the heated lotion and it will start
to thicken) stirring constantly till it starts to get thick. To emulsify it better use a stick blender. This makes better
emulsion, it makes it smoother and it binds it together better. Stir a few more times and add your fragrance and when fully
incorporated, pour into bottles or jars.
NOTE: To make thicker cream you can added more harder oils such as Cocoa Butter,
Shea Butter, Mango Butter, etc. will make a thicker cream, but will also make it oiler cream. Good for those with very dry
skin. Use more lighter oils if you want a cream that is penetrating to the skin like, Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Avocado, Apricot
Kernel, Grapeseed Coconut, etc. add and add more Stearic acid and E-Wax, just a bit maybe 1/4 oz. or so.
Also if you find that the cream is to thin, You will have to make another
batch and then really thicken it up and add the thinner cream to it. Works best this way since it is not a goodies to reheat
the thinned cream and try to thicken it with the E-Wax will not properly and incorporate into the mix well and leave tiny
balls in the mix.
I personally used for oils: Coconut oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Avocado Butter,
Almond Butter, Castor oil, Honey and Glycerin. I like Moisture, I will tell you this works too!!!
LOTION RECIPE
For a more runny lotion such as one that you would pump out of a botlle, do the same recipe
above but use the liquidy oils when make it such as Sweet almond oil, Grapeseed, olive oil, Jojoba, Avocado, Apricot Kernal,
Coconut etc.
If it ends up being to thin, make another batch and incorporate together to thicken it up.
