Forward by Dad:

It was in April of 2000 when Gina came to our house in Chandler, Arizona from Council Bluffs, Iowa with her young son, Devin. She was obviously extremely distraught. Her world was crashing down. It was then that we had a "dad-daughter talk" like when she was a little girl. She relayed to me that, among other problems, she had MS. She was taking $800 of drugs a month, 4 shots at $200 each. Her left side was numb. She had a hard time opening a car door. Her sight was going bad. There were rafts of other symptoms

This conversation terrified me. My mother had MS. She was an invalid for many years and died a horrible death as a result of treatments for MS and cancer, which she contracted in the later years of her life. I certainly hope my daughter would not take the same path.

The next couple of days we talked about what could be accomplished by changing eating habits and reducing stress. I introduced her to Vicki who had an office next to ours. she was told she had three months to get her life in order because she would be wheelchair bound in three months. Instead of succumbing to MS, she researched it. Then changed her diet. Today she is more robust then before. She said gluten was the main culprit. It had been eliminated from her diet.

I also introduced Gina to Greta. She is a very good friend and an expert in the health field. She also stated that gluten was to be avoided and encouraged the no drug approach to good health.

I encouraged her to conquer MS rather then live with it: read books by Sam Biser or go to his website at www.sambiser.com. I gave her some of his books and videos. I also asked her to go to Dr. Lorraine Day's website www.drday.com .

Gina not only went  to these website and read the Sam Biser book I gave her, but she went much further. She is living proof that MS can be licked. She is leading a very active life without any medication. Further, she is now my guiding light to healthier living. I am extremely proud of her.

I am also very grateful to support of the people around her. I am especially grateful to Greg, her husband and Devin, her son and my grandson. The support of family and friends is extremely important to recovery.

Gina has exceeded my expections. She is an inspiration to anyone who prefers health to sickness.
